Welcome to my instructional design portfolio website. Here you can view samples of my professional work as an eLearning developer and an instructional designer.
I am currently a graduate student in the Learning Design and Technology MS program at the University of San Diego. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetic Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and I bring over 15 years of experience in the eLearning industry to the table. With a great deal of my learning design experience focused in the biomedical industry, and having a previous career as a biology research associate, communication with Subject-Matter Experts in these fields comes easily to me.
Being an Instructional Designer, for me, is about translating complex concepts into creative, engaging, visual learning experiences. I especially enjoy developing learning using tools like animation and game-based interactivities. I am very passionate about continuously improving my skill set and building upon my technical knowledge to enable new means of learning for students.
In my downtime, I enjoy digital painting and watching terrible movies. Otherwise, I spend most of my time appeasing my cat and wandering the beaches of San Diego.
